This memorial website was created in the memory and celebration of our mother, Mary Jane Batty, 94, born on August 10th, 1922.  She suffered a stroke and fell on February 12th, appropriately Lincoln's birthday.  After a steady, rapid decline, she died on February 18th, 2017. She was a beacon of love, caring, support and cheer to all who knew her and even many who did not.  As a Richmonder for 7 decades, she touched the lives of thousands.  She was a very special person in countless ways.  She would not want us to grieve for long, but instead celebrate her life and what it meant to others.
