Wow. So hard to believe he’s gone. Coach young was my history teacher at Rutland middle. He was a father figure to me. I will be praying for his family and God is with you all! Rest In Peace Coach!! Coach Young came to Southwest my sophomore year of teaching there. It was tough and there were many obstacles to overcome if we were going to turn our school around. He fought back against apathy & disenfranchisement with humor, historical relevancy honesty. He also loved the students enough to tell the whole truth. He was a "good dude" on his way to being a great man.
