During Karen’s final days, my grandson Noah (10) asked, “How do you make the sadness go away?” Noah and Karen had a very close relationship. I told him, ”Don’t make it go away. Be sad and gradually the sadness will lessen and what will come to the forefront will be all those wonderful memories you created with your Bubby.” I realized that this advice would be good for me to take as well.

Karen I will always love you and miss you. No matter how much time you have with someone it is never enough. What I've learned is that you must always make sure to tell those precious to you how much you love them.

My mom left a beautiful mark on the world. She gave me a wonderful life. My heart is so full for having had her as my mom and so empty from losing her. She was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother and friend.  She will forever be loved and missed.

I’m grateful to have known and loved Karen and her family for many years, enjoying her sparkling smiles and warm hugs. She enriched my life and 1000’s of others with her powerful trainings and workshops. Her life-long dedication to creating a loving, just world inspires me. I join in grieving the loss of her presence and am thankful that she still touches my life.

If I could turn back time to be with Karen again...Gone from our sight but forever in my heart.
Say not in grief,"she is no more but in thankfulness that she was."           Hebrew proverb

I share in her sister Reggie's loss. I remember meeting Karen at a horse workshop in Arizona. What I remember most about  her was her smile and her contagious laugh.  Rest In Peace Karen and may all who loved you be comforted

I am lucky that I got to call Karen my Grandma. She was such a positive and loving figure in our lives and always participated willingly and with love. No matter what she was dealing with in her own life, she always had such a kindness about her that made you feel welcomed. Thank you Grandma Karen for being apart of my life and you will truly be missed. Til we meet again. -Elle and Braiden

I miss you my little big sister and I know the missing will never go away. I also know the love we shared will never go away, nor will the memories of how we could make each other laugh so hard it hurt, and the way a conversation could turn into a remembered song, and the way we could always lift each other's spirits even when life dealt some awful cards. ...we'll meet again some sunny day

When I think of Karen , I am standing in my childhood home on East22 St. . I am at my kitchen window and Karen is merely an alley width away at hers. We would talk without even having to leave our houses, just by opening a. window . I’ll always remember Karen as one of the most caring & life loving people . My heart goes out to Jackie,Dick, Reggie,Micheal& Brian& their families

I will always remember Karen’s warm smile and the generous way in which she would give me her full attention, regardless of the surroundings or the trivial nature of what I had to say. She holds a special place in my heart; I’m quite certain that if my mom lived close by, she and Karen would have been good friends. Jackie, may your beautiful memories of your mom forever shine over you.

Thinking of my dear Auntie K today, the day before her birthday. I just arrived in California two days ago and am feeling the sadness once again that I won't be able to see her on this visit. Auntie K, you have always been incredibly special to me — beautiful inside and out. I am wishing you a happy birthday and am grateful for all of your love. I wish I could hug you and tell you so.

For over 25 years I have listened to Karen's wise guidance and received countless of her incredible and loving embraces. She was unceasingly curious about others. You always felt loved and listened to by her. At one of her birthday celebrations she gave everyone scrolls detailing how THEY were a contribution to her! Karen, I will forever miss your beauty, sensuality and infectious laugh!

We are from the generation of Karen’s parents.  We loved Jack and Sylvia dearly, and by extension
we love their children.  As adults, our paths crossed only occasionally, but  our fondest memory of Karen is from a 3-day “cousin’s  gathering” at our home in Averill Park, N.Y.  We remember the joy of being reacquainted, and the pleasure Karen and Dick expressed after biking in this new territory.  We treasure good memories of Karen, her parents, and her siblings.
