I met Joe and Betty shortly after losing my husband to another progressive, related illness, amyloidosis. We met at the Unitarian Universalist church of Medford. I immediately felt a deep connection with both Betty and Joe. It was clear that they had a beautiful and very loving relationship. I feel so grateful for the gift of their friendship. I will miss this wonderful, soul-full man.
