Good friends since 1st grade. We kept in touch off and on throughout the years.  Last time we spoke; we were supposed to meet up while he was in Anchorage. I had an emergency and had to cancel. Sure wish now that we had met as planned. Lifelong friends are hard to make and even harder to keep. Glad Joe was one of mine. I still remember his message in my yearbook-“like a fine wine”
