I will never forget John and Carol Shields. My life was enriched by becoming friends with them when I worked at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Rest in peace, good and faithful servants. Sending prayers for comfort and peace to the family.

I met John & Carol at my wedding, and John and I became friends right away. 34 years of meals out together, with endless discussion of faith, philosophy and armchair psychology. I would often stop to make notes after our talks. When I called the house, I always enjoyed Carol's quips about John 'wandering off'. Couldn't make the memorial due to health issues, but our prayers for the family.
