I am very sorry to hear of John’s passing.  I was also a BLM land surveyor and John was always one of my favorite BLM’ers. His sense of humor and uncanny wit kept me in stitches many times. Whenever I was stressed out or bored with the job I’d go bs with John for a while and things would always be better. Just a great guy!! My very sincere condolences to the family .
