I will always cherish all the wonderful times we shared at Abbott’s Pharmacy and beyond.  I’m so grateful for having you in my life for over 30 years, for your teachings, your love and support.  You were not only my greatest mentor and friend, but truly like a second dad to me.  You are so deeply loved and missed.  You will always be in my heart.  Rest easy, dear John.

I’m a nephew of John’s and it does sadden me that a family member has to depart but know that in tine everybody’s journey has to end. I enjoyed the times I worked at his pharmacy during my summer vacations. My uncle had more confidence in me than I did in myself at that time. Thank you uncle john for contributing confidence to my cancer fight. I’m glad you’re at peace. Give my Mom a hug.

Your dedication to detail—so needed in your work—did not prevent you from paying attention to people and seeing the big picture. Thanks for all the ways you made the world a better place and reminded us to notice its beauty.
