I am so very sorry to learn of the untimely passing of John Parrelli. He was an extraordinary leader and friend to the optical industry. I will never forget his exceptional wit and how he spoke his mind with such ease. My sincere condolences to Jonathan and the entire Parrelli family.

I was lucky to be one of John's first clients when he worked at an optical shop on Boylston Street. He took care of my parents and my eye health for many many years. He always picked up with old time family stories during our yearly office appointment at Parrelli Optical in Cambridge where we left off the year before. My sympathy to his family.

John fitted me with contact lenses multiple times in his Porter Square office. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I enjoyed exchanging travel stories with him, as we'd both been all around the world. I am sad to hear of his passing and am sending loving thoughts to his family. Sincerely, Nikki Bruno Clapper
