John was such a good friend of the Lind family over so many years and loomed large in so many personal instances with many of the Lind family members that perhaps it best to relate some of these in the STORY section.

John will be forever missed and remain in our thoughts for as long as we have them.

John and I shared what, for me was my first serious romantic relationship.  Although today I re-read his letters to me, I did not need them to remember him.  He was both tender and tough, ferocious in his loyalties, nakedly expressive and so very loving. Even after fifty-three years I feel so fortunate he gave so much of himself to me.
