Great man. Could not get enough of him. My inspiration for getting into aviation, operating/owning a DC-3, and making the most of life. He hardly knew me, but still treated me like a son.  Wish I could have said goodbye.

My sincerest condolences for the family of Dr. Cottingham at this time of loss.
Dr. Cottingham was a truly notable person to our family. He was our dentist from early in his practice in San Jose up until he retired.
He was so charming and tried to put us at ease whenever we were worried about going to the dentist.
