We were on a long trip when this sad news occurred, and only just learned of it.  Joan greatly enriched our lives and especially those of our children, for which we are forever grateful.  We picture her cresting the celestial waves, saying "wheee!" at the top of every one.  Our love and condolences to Lee, James, and Jessica.
