Joan was my last connection to my own mom. I loved her like a second mother and I will miss our visits every time I come back to California. My heart goes out to her children and grandchildren, for I know how deeply she will be missed. I like to imagine her and Art having cocktails in heaven with Mary and Hank, my mom and dad. Joan and I spent a great deal of time together as advisers to the Walnut Heights School Student Council.  We also continued our friendship after we retired.  She will be missed by family and many friends.
