Brett officiated at our wedding in 1987. He had to fly all the way from Tokyo, Japan to Rome,  Georgia and was held up in Chicago  so that we were worried he would not make it.   Then the morning of he arrived safe and sound to join us for the wedding brunch, entering to applause and relief with  The most adorable humble look on his face    He was a great  friend to both the bride and groom's parents and such a steady serene strong presence wherever he was he will be greatly missed
