Mr. Lawson was a Parr family neighbor for over 60 years.  When I was a kid he always greeted me by saying "How are you young lady?", which impressed me because most adults ignored us.  As a teenager I was impressed by the longs hours he worked, leaving at 6:00 a.m. while I was still in bed.  As an adult I remember how kind he was to my parents.  He was a gracious and good neighbor.
