Judge Woodhouse was one of my favorite judges to appear before.  He was tough, fair and the consummate professional.  He will be missed.

Derek was my best friend in high school, Campbell High.  He, Richard Salciccia and I were all involved in speech & debate, and school politics.  Derek was a natural leader, a great communicator, and had a great sense of humor.  He could kid with the best of them. He really connected with people.  We shared some of the most intense moments, such as the assassination of JFK and Bobby Kennedy

I am sadden to hear of Derek's passing. We worked together for many years when he represented Viking Freight. He was my favorite attorney to work with and we had fun on our many road trips to depo's. He always talked about his family with such joy and was just a wonderful person.  Prayers to his family. Jennifer Battin Burt

Those were the days 62-65 We had a lot of friends and Derek was so funny I’ll never forget those years at Campbell it was like “Happy Days” all the dances and events we had .My condolences to the family I had lost touch when I moved  back to New Orleans after65 but I did talk to him once
