I met Dr Als for the first time at Children’s National Medical Center in DC I was a new nurse there and found my passion in the NICU.When Dr Als spoke at rounds I was fascinated by her thoughts on neurodevelopment and thought she was inspiring! Over my 43 years as a NICU RN,, I  would occasionally cross paths with her, in person at a conference or reading one of her studies. Thanks you!
