When I was 7 years old Dr Conquest did an emergency appendectomy on me at St Luke’s Hospital. I am now almost 59 years old and have never forgotten him. He had the best bedside manner and made me laugh each time he came in!!! I have been a nurse for 37 years!!! He was one of the main reasons I wanted to be a nurse. He also did my mom’s hysterectomy sometime after that. A great man and Dr.
Dr Conquest operated on my mother for breast cancer, my dad twice for serious intestinal problems and myself for some minor tumor removal. We called Dr C our family surgeon and he was a better person than a surgeon. He was truly a very good man who placed others first.

Fighting tears and laughing at memories of him at the same time. Doc C brought so much joy into our lives. Unconditional love based on our shared loved of poetry, music and God. It was a joy and an honor to have him as Doctor, Extra "Dad" and beloved Friend and Mentor. Thank you Conquest family for sharing him. "MeeShall" and "Doctor Joe" Robinson!
Dr Conquest was a true Southern Gentleman and you could not have wanted for a better neighbor or friend. He was the embodiment of the Greatest Generation, an remarkable man who led an unassuming life. I shall always cherish the memories of us together at the river, enjoying a Bloody Mary, playing tennis, wind surfing or savoring one of his grilled steaks. I hope the family finds solace, that while Dr Conquest will forever be missed, I along with many, will always be grateful for his friendship and thankful to our Heavenly Father for our time with him and beholden that our lives became richer for it.
