In many tributes to fathers from their kids, they all pretty much say he was a great man. In my case, I can truly say my dad was a great man & even a better father.  I grew up in such a loving & secure home that there are not enough words to express how much that has truly meant to me and the rest of my family. My dad survived 2.3 years as a Korean POW, great man is a huge understatement!

Daddy you have been my lifelong hero and I will miss you terribly but I will surely see you again.  Thank you so much for such a wonderful life.  My childhood has nothing but great memories and I consider myself so lucky to have had you for 65 years.  As far as folks go, I got the lions share when I got you and Mom.    Keep the beer cold for me Daddy and I'll see you again one day.  

Well Daddy....what can I say other then you will be greatly missed and you are a true hero!! I know you would not approve of that but we (all us Americans) know it is a fact!! What you have done in life gives me a great approach on how things should be handled! I loved you then and I love you now more! I will miss you...not one day goes by that I don’t smile thinking of stories you told...
