So sad and sorry to hear of George's passing. He was a good neighbor and a fun partner to have when playing his beloved game of Pickleball. My deepest sympathy to his wife Ruth and his whole family. He will be sadly missed by many.
I met George and Ruth through pickleball several years ago. Not a nicer couple could be found. In February, my wife and I were in Naples and contacted George to play some pickleball. Instead, he took us on his boat all day. And it was a great day!
I think I can safely say for the Yarmouth pickle ball group George will be missed. Just a few weeks ago I had the pleasure of playing mixed doubles with George. He was not a good pickle ball player for his age he was simply a very good pickle ball player regardless of his age. That day we played some of the best players in Yarmouth and George was on fire. We won all three games we played together and he made some incredible shots. When we finished he was beaming and said he had not had that much fun in quite some time. I will miss having the opportunity to play with him again. He was a good man.
George’s passing leaves one with a very heavy heart. Like many others, I met George through Pickleball; loved to play with or against him - always a fun game. Aside from Pickleball, we shared many discussions about family; he was a man with a truly gentle heart and soul. George will always be remembered as a very special friend.
Sincerest sympathies to Ruth and his extended family.
Through the Naples community, we met George and Ruth. He served tirelessly as a director for La Villa Riviera of Naples. A well-respected, thoughtful member with a good sense of humor, who volunteered before being approached. A good man who will be missed.
Condolences from the Jenny family.
