Mr. King was well respected in our community and will be missed by many. Many of us grew up with fond memories of his well run business and his accomplishments. My heart goes out to the family of a sporting legend in Alaska.

Gary King was an icon. Gary King's, along with Bob Seaman's and Barney's Sports Chalet outfitted Anchorage with more than just military surplus skis, long before big chains arrived.  My experiences on skis were much enhanced because of guys like Gary King. RIP Gary!
