I am so sorry for the loss - I just found out via Caltech's alumni magazine.  I remember Eric very fondly, full of laughter and joy every day.  He helped me get my stereo system that I still have today, making sure I got just what I needed, and was a true mentor of navigating my way through Caltech.  I will miss him.

I can still remember my brother driving me around California + Hawai'i to my auditions + film/tv jobs, since i was a child actress. I hired my big brother as my driver + minder. This was important to me, because he was my protector, and he and I survived being held hostage on Spahnekar Ranch together. He was my rock + LOVED space as much as I did. He turned me on to telescopic photography.
