I always knew Dad loved me. Even when we were separated by continents and oceans, I could feel that love across the miles. It was a source of strength to me in my youth and great joy once we were united again. I hope, in some small way, I can carry on that legacy of love and acceptance for others.

Grandpa Buzz always made me feel I had eternal worth. He had a great respect for others and I felt I could just be myself around him. I loved his sense of humor and he had a happy flair with which he did everything. He inspired me to live in the present and use meditation to connect with my inner self and others. I love you, Grandpa Buzz!!

My dad and I always shared a very special connection with each other through the moon, beginning when I was a small child in Hawaii when we would watch the full moon set over the ocean horizon.  That connection transcended time and place, and often when we were apart on the phone we would say "night night, I love you, goodnight moon." I will see Dad in every full moon.

Buzz “loved” the ocean.  It was his favorite place to go and he was happy and carefree when he breathed the salty air.  He enjoyed taking Poppy, our beloved dog and seeing her run in the sand with the wind on her face. We had many wonderful times together there laughing and eating fish at local restaurants. His favorite beach was Gold Beach and he ask me to spread some of his ashes there.
