Our dear father Ed passed away after suffering the complications of a lung infection.  I’m so sad to say my dad is no longer with us.  He was well loved by his family and he loved his family dearly.  He is now at peace and free from pain.  He grew up in Detroit Michigan, served in the navy aboard the USS Oriskany during the Korean War, working on the flight deck.  After his time in the service, he settled in the Santa Clara Valley to raise his family.  He was a sharp businessman and an avid golfer.  His last place of residence was in Sonora, California, living among the beautiful hills and lush green trees.

I have sixty years of memories about my father and it is hard to pick one to write about.  An early memory is of our traveling from California to Michigan and back to see our grandparents.  My sister Kathleen and I, at the age of 4 & 5, were in the back seat of our car busy coloring in our coloring books and singing the song “California here I come” as loud as we could, interrupted by one of us yelling ‘are we there yet?’

As an adult, my dad taught me to play golf and we would play at the various courses around the San Jose area.  We often met at SJ Muni to play, always walking the course of course!

Current memories are of he and I talking on the phone about politics, business and the family.  He always ended our call with “I Love you very much”!  One thing for sure, he will be dearly missed!  Good bye Dad and I love you very much too!
