Thank Lord for bringing Dr.Black into my life. It is due to her words of wisdom & human compassion that I am here today. She got me to quit smoking. I can now breath & live a great life.
Forever grateful

I just learned of Dr. Blacks passing.  I am a better person for knowing her.  This world is a better place because of her.  She was a teacher of compassion, respect and humility.  I cannot express how special she was to me.  Any hearts she has touched knows what I mean.  Such a gentle yet fierce soul.  A book about her life should be written and shared with the world. She can still teach.

I was very fortunate to have worked with such a remarkable physician as Dr Black was. A  BRAVE woman who had no fear to work hard and to say what had to be said. An open-mided person. A seeker of justice. A seeker of God. If the city of Lowell, MA, ever decides to do a memorial of its remarkable citizens, this lady should be there.

I worked with Professor Susan Black at Palliative Care in Baragwanath Hospital Johannesburg South Africa. I would also refer my patients to her at Nkosi's haven and our relationship grew much much strong to that one of a mother and child. Even after she had left South Africa, she would urge me to come visit in the USA. During Covid she was my pillar of strength

She even knitted me some socks that I really appreciate so much. I would. I would love to keep in touch with family. She told me about her daughter and sons and a grandson. My WhatsApp number is +27783476875
