I will always be in your heart
I will always be watching over you
When that day comes for you to come home
I will be there to welcome you
With open arms

And walk you through the gates of Heaven
You will be greeted by our family & friends
Who came home before you
Until that day I will be watching over you

I had the pleasure of working with Al at Highland Springs.  He was a man of integrity and passion.  I am sorry that I didn't have the opportunity to bid him a proper farewell.

To the Fravel family: My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to you on the loss of your loved one. Mr. Fravel was a wonderfully-spirited individual, always conducting himself in a way that was loyal, decent, professional, and appropriate. He loved teaching, and demanded a type of respect that would  help students throughout their lives. Highland Springs will miss him.

I met Mr. Fravel in the 10th grade at HSHS. He was an awesome teacher, wise and funny. He was very militant in the way that he ran his classroom. I thoroughly enjoyed being in his class and learning from him, not just educational lessons but life lessons also. Mr. Fravel had an impact on the individual that I am today. My prayers and condolences are with his family. May he rest in peace.

My classroom is across the hall from "Frave".   He was a very  dedicated teacher and ALWAYS seemed to be at school. We talked about many subjects  and shared funny stories about our southern/hillbilly upbringing.  I'll miss that.

I started working with Allen too many years ago to count. He was a man devoted to his family and to his students. He was at school from the crack of dawn to late in the evening. He was dedicated to sharing his knowledge and experiences with his students and his colleagues. I will miss him terribly, My deepest sympathies and prayers to the family and friends.

I have worked with Allen for several years.  In that time we developed a rich friendship.  I was always pleased to see him walking toward me in the hallway at HSHS.  That usually led to us catching up and talking for several minutes about anything and everything.  I will truly miss Allen and our conversations.  I send my heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to the family.

It is so difficult to imagine Highland Springs without Allen.  I enjoyed working with him and talking with him in the halls.  He always had a story or joke to share.  I miss him and I know his students miss him.

My deepest condolences and sympathies to Mr. Fravel's family and loved ones. His work ethic, time spent on the job, and pride in his profession were outstanding. Due to his "super-human" traits we nicknamed him "The Fravelnator". He never missed work and would take on anything asked of him but he always put family first. Such a nice man who would take time to chat with anyone. RIP Allen.

Mr. Fravel was one of the teachers that I always looked forward to chatting with at parent/teacher conference.  Luckily, my son never really needed me to attend so that gave us time to just chat.  I am also from the country so it was fun to trade stories.  Once thing is for certain, he loved his family.

Mr. Fravel was my econ and government teacher. He made a lasting impact on my life. He did everything he could for his students, I loved going to his class. He was the only teacher I had that didn't criticise me for reading in class. I loved the debates he would start, and I loved him as a person. He will always be in my heart and will be greatly missed. Fly high Fravel. You deserve it.
