Truly, one-of-a-kind

I'm a BH-BL graduate of the class of 1983.  Mr. Roll would always announce as I entered his classroom, "Statler, Stephen W.! I still quote him.  He was invariably kind and respectful towards kids, as if he really cared what we thought and felt.  I recall him as a big, kind bear of a man.  It really makes me think about the lasting effects teachers can have on kids. RIP and well done, Sir.

We will never forget you and your big heart.
