I will be forever grateful to this beautiful Creative Thinker for all she taught and shared with me. A mentor, a co-faculty and course designer, I was privileged to teach with her for 13 years and will continue to share her research and work in the Creative Thinking field through the course we evolved and built together. I will miss the friendship we developed over the years. I will deeply miss Delores, our talks and her great sense of humor and irony. I send deepest condolences to her dear partner Lisa (Doyle) and her entire beloved family. Rest in Power Delores, and find Peace finally.

Delores Gallo, I love you. Your teaching, energy, generous wisdom, elegant intellect, graceful talking hands and friendship, changed the course of my life. You said we were deeply connected because we shared a birthday and were born under the same stars. You are and will always be a bright star in my sky and in my heart. Sparkle on, dear friend, free finally of constraints, pain, or fear.

Delores was a great teacher, a wonderful model teacher for her students. I was her student at UMB in 72-73. The lessons learned still impact my teaching.  An educator ahead of her time teaching ‘building knowledge’ when the rest were still looking at behaviorism. Her only mistake - telling us to learn the metric system -”because the US will switch to metrics soon”
