David was such a sweet man.  He was so close to my sons and to my husband enjoying numerous A’s games with my family. He was a great friend to my sons, especially Walter.  He was very caring and loved by so many. He is and will be sadly missed by so many people. I’m so glad I knew him and so wished he could have survived all of the illnesses he experienced these past years.  God bless him.

I grew up with David, we lived on the same street. From playing football in the street to video games, to High School. From rides in theMean Green Fiat, to the numbing Tercel. I still can’t believe he is gone. My heart goes out to Franca. Rest easy VanPont!!

Dave, what a character with a big heart, big laugh and full of fun!  Dave was an important part of my life and history. I’m so sorry to hear of his health struggles and passing.  Heartfelt sympathy to his friends and family. Sending prayers.
