I worked with Dave for years He was such a great man and so caring of all his patients
Dave and Bud became friends built a remote control sailboat
Such a wonderful man
I am so sorry he did not get more time in retirement
My heartfelt prayers are sent to everyone who ever met Dr. Rose, he made everyone's life brighter. He saved my life and I will be forever thankful. He has given me the joy of raising and watching my children grow. He also taught me how to laugh in the face of cancer and to embrace what we have been blessed with. He was simply wonderful!
He was one of the most humble soft spoken men--he truly was a man of God. I'll never forget when I told him I was leaving Dominican--he fell back against the wall shocked and sad, which amazed me. I will never forget it. He had a way about him which made everyone feel special. Truly remarkable man and surgeon. Heaven has a new light shining. God Bless you Dr. Rose-I will pray for all
I am heartbroken. Dave was a colleague and friend as well as my doctor. He was funny and smart and he enriched the lives of everyone around him. His attitude about life and his family was beautiful. I admired him and his wife, Susan. I miss you my friend.
It is not often in life that one gains "new family" through marriage who becomes the essence of gentleness, sweetness, kindness, thoughtfulness and fun. Such was David to me. He was a man of few words at first, but no get together would ever end without fabulous stories, constant laughter and the shared wish that we make our visits more frequent. I adored David and will miss him so..
Dr. Rose cared deeply. He also had a stellar sense of humor. He once found me and my beloved Jyoti, who he was treating, in the exam room with his stethoscope listening for my baby’s heartbeat; he grinned and didn’t miss a beat. He was compassionate and brilliant. He cared for my dad with the same depth of competence and kindness. Stellar human. May his memory be a blessing.
It’s been three years since you left us. I miss you every day, little brother, my first friend. You shaped my life in those early days playing our made up games, crawling through our hand made forts, watching forbidden tv after school, inventing art projects, and playing in the mud. Without you, life is not as bright. Your family misses you terribly. Your first grandchild is a keeper.
Dear David, I cannot get over that you’re no longer here. You are etched into my mind forever. I have a collection of photos from your early childhood through teenagehood that remind me of what a sweet baby and kind young boy you were. Those were the days before you stepped onto the road to adulthood with its challenges, joys, hardships, achievements, and love.
