This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Cynthia Duke:

Cynthia Lee Duke, “Cindi” 70, of Maidens, VA, left this world to be with Jesus on October 9, 2018, peacefully at home with family by her side.

Cindi succumbed to a failing heart after a long battle.  Cindi maintained a strong will to live and unwavering faith in God.  Love and prayers of family, friends, many supporters and an LVAD pump carried her through six years that she would otherwise have not been afforded. Yet even throughout her struggle with failing heart, her faith in God and devotion to her family never wavered.  From her death bed Cindi insisted all that passed through her door take a track and share the love of Jesus Christ with others.

Born to the late William and Vivian Lee, March 2, 1948, in Richmond, VA. Cindi graduated from Huguenot High School in 1966, received a BS from the Old Dominion University in 1970 and a PhD in Naturopathy from Clayton College of Natural Health in 1999.

Cindi is survived by her loving husband Earl Carter Duke, Sr. whom she was happily married to for 40 years.  Cindi and Earl were married in 1978 where they joined two families and created one.  Cindi and Earl built a home and raised their eight children in Maidens, VA over the next 40 years.

Cindi is survived by her sister, Marilyn Glowa.

Cindi is survived by eight children: Sarah Morris, Carter Duke, Corey Duke, Dawn Dodge, Ginger Burr, Solomon Duke, Daniel Duke and Aaron Duke.  Cindi “Nana” is survived by ten grandchildren.  Nana was adored by her grandchildren all of whom carry on her love and legacy.

Cindi was a loving wife and devoted mother. Cindi was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind beautiful memories and a legacy of love, prayer for and service to others.

Cindi, a firm believer in Jesus Christ and in natural medicine devoted her time and efforts, after raising the children, to sharing the love of Jesus and practicing natural medicine.  Cindi always offered advice and a remedy for anything that ailed those she met.
