During this difficult time, I'm praying the family will be surrounded by His comforting love and filled with the peace that only He can give. As I reminisce over precious moments in time while on the TU 'yard" and beyond, I think of one of the most beautiful, gentle, smiling, ambitious, tenacious spirits I've ever encountered. What a challenging legacy and footprint to leave behind!
I am sending prayers with sympathy and condolences to Cynthia's family and friends. As a Gamma Tau Soror, I loved seeing her cheering during the Big TI games and seeing her at our national conventions. Those times will always be cherished.
I am sending my love and prayers to Coach Simon and family, even though I only knew my friend a short time, at Allen University, I felt the love and respect that we gave each other and she was a sister to me from another mother. Dr. Simon was a breath of fresh air to me daily, a friend I will truly miss her. R.I.P. my sister for one day we will see each other again, God bless.
Condolences to the the family. Dr. Simon and Coach Simon are two of the nicest and kindest people that I have met. I really miss her with the many scarves that she adorned with her outfits walking through the halls of Allen University. She will be truly missed.
Words are truly inadequate to truly express the deepest sympathy we send the family of a remarkable lady. She leaves a void that none can fill. Praying God will grant you please and comfort thru the wonderful memories you have.

Dr. Sellers-Simon was a colleague and great friend during our time working at Hampton U. She was a true professional who was loyal and dedicated to both Hampton U. as well as her beloved Tuskegee University. Not only was she devoted to academics, but she loved cheering at sporting events too. During leisure times, she was my spades partner and we rarely lost a game! May she Rest in Heaven!
Hearing of Cynthia's transition has truly pierced my heart. I was #10 and she #11 on the Elusive 19, fall line of Delta Sigma'71! We shared so many experiences, good times, bonding times and trying times. But we made it and established a lasting friendship. I remember her with a smile and much joy that God blessed me with making her part of my life. Blessings and much love to the Family!
Prayers to Dr. Simon's family and friends during this difficult time. I met my soror 2 years ago at Allen University. She was a class act, accomplished, focused, sassy and dedicated to making a difference. She is like a candle burning brightly. The love she gave and received remains behind to light the lives of others. Rest in heavenly peace!
Cynthia and I were friends for over 40 years. I am still frozen in overwhelming grief knowing that she has passed. I will miss our talks and laughs about life events. Prayers go out to Patric, her daughters and their families. We ask God for comfort because He loves us and has promised us everlasting consolation and hope through His grace.
On behalf of the Southeast Region Alumni Association, & TNAA Family, We will miss our strong daughter who's strength was our pride. We will Love you forever and will always remember the smile and joy you brought to us as a dedicated SER alumni member. I learned so much & was trained under Cynthia leadership when she was VP of Student Affairs. She became my friend. Praying for the family.
Deepest Sympathy to the Family of Cynthia Sellers Simon ...... my heart is filled with grief as I contemplate how Coach Simon must feel on the loss of a 2nd Wife where ironically both had similar backgrounds; both were Executive Educators - and - their deaths were brief illness / sudden — RIP: Ida Ballard Simon and Cynthia Sellers Simon
