Saturday November 21, 2020, Curt Henry Evern was called home by his heavenly father. A man of great faith, he is no longer in the pain of this world and is now fishing in the still waters with his mother, father, brother, and sister. Curt was a life-long Alaskan who enjoyed the bounty of the land and adventures offered by the great state. He never met a stranger and put his friends and family above all except God. He cannot be summed up by words alone, his light and love will live on in all who knew and loved him.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Ida Lee Evern and Frederick William Evern; brother and sister, Walter Blankenship and Ruth Evern. Survived by his wife, Deborah Evern; three children, Charles Bates, Frederick and Amanda Evern, and Clarissa Evern; siblings, Nellie Evern, Dale and Isabelle Evern, Emory and Adrian Evern, Walter’s wife Charlene Montague, and Lorena Hegdal; five grand-children; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, no celebration of life is planned at this time. When it is safe to do so, we invite you to celebrate Curt’s life to share in the joy and memories he provided us over his lifetime.

Until we are able to safely gather, please leave a memory of Curt below.

Curt was a fun classmate and just a really good guy. He will be missed. May God's peace that goes beyond all understanding be amongst you all during this season.

My daddy was the best guy. He never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Even when he was busy he took the time to coach my soccer team, attend my concerts, and listen to me complain about teenager stuff.
He’ll be missed by all who knew him.
