I worked with Chris on many projects over the years the most memorable being the Alaska Airlines Center.  Chris had a wonderful management style, pushing you to give your best while making you feel supported and valued.  he was definitely one of the good ones.  I posted a short remembrance of him at:  https://www.facebook.com/112652877079863/posts/351789346499547/

LTC T, my military boss at the COE, from his arrival until I departed July 2004. He was a top-notch military professional that had a strong sense of people and their needs.  Serving as his HR advisor, he supported people in good/bad times always lending a hand.  LTC T has been a dear friend and confidante that often blessed me with his sage advice.  Will miss you "LTC 2Ladies".

The world is a darker place with the unfortunate loss of Chris Turletes! Chris was a friend, coworker, boss and mentor. My favorite assignment on active duty was serving with Chris (and the other officers) in the Alaska District of the Corps of Engineers. Chris was my immediate boss in the Ft. Richardson Resident Office (and we shared the Shemya experience). A consummate leader! God Speed!
