I was just wondering if Gil was still in Alaska and googled his name there only to learn, sadly, of his passing.  I was a ChiO at the U of Colorado where Gil worked as a hasher in our house.  What fun we all had, especially up skiing.  I'm so glad to have read of his very full life and all of his accomplishments.
