Sorry to see Charlie go. I remember him as a fun filled person and always had nice things to say about his friends. I worked in Daly City often close to him as a Sr. Code enforcement Officer. we made some positive changes to the City through our combined effort of inspecting run-down properties and causing repairs to be made by the owners (mostly large apartment complexes) He is missed!
I am fortunate to have known Charlie since 1959 as we attended the same grammar school for 8 years. I was again honored when he joined DCPD in 1979. We worked the streets together and a security detail at large mall on Wednesday evenings for some time. We had to work but took advantage of every opportunity to have fun and I promise you we did! We kept in touch via phone until he left.
