Carol Summers was a wonderful artist whose work was very rich in bold colors and shapes. I first met Carol in the late 60's through the Lewis family. He was not only an accomplished artist but also made furniture and pottery. I was fortunate to occasionally run into him in Santa Cruz. He exhibited his work at UCSC and Museum of Art and History here in Santa Cruz. Condolences to his family.

I had the blessed opportunity to meet Carol in the early '70's when he came from NY to Albion, CA to build a house that he designed for his friend Herb. I was on the construction crew. The art and creation were in Carol's essence. A beautiful man. I met him again when I moved to Santa Cruz. Some souls just keep in touch. Take care my friend and thank you.
