Welcome to Carol's page. We want to treasure the memory of an amazing woman. Feel free to add photos and anecdotes from her life, her travels, her gardening, her charity work, and how she made an impact on you.
A remembrance for Carol will be held on Septimber 9th at 10AM, at Sportsman park in Rossmoor. 3400 Golden Rain Rd. Masks and social distancing will be required.
We have had the pleasure of being able to visit Carol Lee over the past several years. When Bill and I would travel to San Francisco or Berkeley for Road Scholar programs it always included a stay with Carol. Our first visit was at her house on Newell Ave. and then in Rossmore. We loved visiting with her, going for walks with her greyhounds, reading the morning papers over a cup of coffee
My Grandmother lived with a noble integrity that is rarely found today. She modeled the values of duty, self sacrifice and delayed gratification in ways that few individuals I've ever met could match. I've a lifetime of memories and simple shared moments with Carol and I am thankful for all of them. But I miss making breakfast together and talking over a hot cup of coffee the most.
As a child, I think back of the times when Carol Lee would return to Illinois and we would all get together spending time chatting and catching up on everyone’s life; I think so fondly of those bygone days, wishing we could have done them more often. I married and moved away and the military took us many places, yet I regret we never made it to California in those later years, yet I will cherish the great times we did have. R.I.P. Carol Lee.
