I’m a JDM (John Miller Disciple).  Our passed crossed through the years.  First while on the Jarvis we observed a young LT biking around base Hono in shorts thinking “…that’s the job!!”  It was John.  Then years later in Kodiak, while he was the CO at the Base, John, Dr Bob Johnson and I spearheaded a “Town Hall” meeting that was a highlight of my life.  It was then I first witnessed John’s laser focus and humble demeanor.  Not too many years later while I was working on a job order contract on base Kodiak, John was the primary Coast Guard representative on site.  Those 4 years were the best of my professional life thanks in large part to John.  He taught me so much and enriched my life.  I’ll forever be in his debt.  Thank you John.  Our paths WILL cross again.  Your friend Matt.
