In 1991 in the same month Keith bought a new truck and I bought a new Honda Civic. Keith had retired and drove his truck across country collecting cookie jars for his antique road show. When he returned we compared mileage on our new vehicles. They were the same. Keith was incredulous. He said "I have been across the USA and back, and you have been NOWHERE a LOT." !! - Kathie Fink
Keith tried so hard to get me to collect SOMETHING. He wanted to give me "bell" things. I finally agreed to decorate my Christmas tree in bell ornaments or ornaments that made a sound. EVERY Christmas I received a Hallmark Christmas ornament. I have not wired up all the musical ornaments for several years but THIS Christmas, I will put them all on my tree in memory of him.
My next story is too long for a tribute. Visit the Stories menu. Keith always liked a good story. It took me years to figure out that he didn't retell stories as they actually occurred. When I accused him of this, he freely admitted to embellishing them. But then he quipped, "makes for a better story, doesn't it?"
Uncle Keith.... always clever! He could take an ordinary day and make it magical! Either thru teaching me pin ball, watching a game with him, telling me stories, or showing me his newest cookie jar finds! His smile lit up every room- and if no one was smiling then he took the room with his humor and by the end everyone was laughing! He is missed. Love you Aunt Judy.
