I have fond memories of volunteering for Alice in her library job at Alden Elementary School, which my three children attended—back in the late 1980s.  As a fellow librarian, I recognized in Alice the important qualities necessary to our profession. And she was always so welcoming, cheerful and interested in everything and everyone! My sincere condolences.Nancy Whipple Grinnell
