I ache for his family...38-40 yrs ago, Al was my teacher, my guide and a lovely friend. I attended every workshop I could that he taught while I was struggling to find my own photographic voice. We journeyed together w/ David Bayles to Orcas Island from Monterey.They were teaching; I was assisting them.To this day, I think of this experience frequently. Dearest Al, may you rest in peace...
